"My time. Sweetest is the debut album of Stephan Paulitsch, already known in the Austrian scene as a virtuoso bassist in various projects under the name ghostdog. Paulitsch weaves a dense universe fueled by genre reminiscences and overlaps. Progressive-indie, hip-hop, cinematic-soul, and grunge sometimes gently, sometimes fiercely intertwine. The pieces of his eclectic grooving work orbit like planets around the creative sun in search of the simple 'honest self' in the grand scheme of things. These stars revolve in their own time spheres, defying genre rules and freely flying on jazzy meandering paths. The travelers through this vast, shimmering universe are best surrendered to the moment. Rough, honest, moody shades of colors describe the sounds of these celestial bodies, gently and purely flying in different languages and dialects. The lyrics circle through the pieces like loving companions. They accompany a piece of the shared journey without holding onto stories - but celebrating the shine of the shared moment. One flows into the other, and thus, this poetically grooving, virtuoso work envelops one like a celestial dome with its own constellations. They shine bright and warm. The styles rotate freely while the hearts beat in the style of the shimmering 70s, 90s, jazzy, minimalistic intertwined. In the end, everyone comes home, to a star with its own time. It's gonna be my time, it's gonna be your time. Enjoy."
